Alpine launches campaign

The first automatic fire sprinkler system was installed in 1812 and remains the most efficient way of suppressing fires.

These days, in order to remain compliant, they must be tested on a weekly basis.  Alpine has calculated this leads to at least four billion litres of drinking water being wasted each year.

As industry innovators, Alpine has launched a national campaign – backed by George Eustice, former Secretary of State for DEFRA – aimed at finding ways to reduce this figure. They have also sponsored a dam restoration project in the Lake District National Park aimed at offsetting water wastage in their industry.  Read all about the many exciting initiatives going on at Alpine here.
